Next, the guavas should be cut into smaller pieces. After that, place the sieved pulp and the pieces of guava into a pot with the sugar. Cook over low heat, stirring until the mixture begins to pull away from the bottom of the pot.

To check if the candy is at the correct point, poke it with a knife; when it comes out clean, it’s ready. Remove from heat and stir to mix for 5 minutes. Pour the contents into molds lined with parchment paper and let cool before unmolding.
